Mr Mike Thomas

Mr.
Mike Thomas has been in the aerospace industry for over 45 years.
He started his life-long career as a Flight Cadet and
underwent
technical training at the Royal Air Force in Cranwell.
However,
he left the RAF in 1966 and joined the Rolls Royce company to
be a
student appentice and later a service engineer. He
specialised in
commisssioning, engine testing and tuning, as well as trouble-shotting
and repar works.
In
1972, he became a Flight and Ground Engineer on Boeing 707 fleet at the
British Airways. He returned to Rolls Royce in 1976 where he
was
involved in engine development and had the opportunities to work in
several countries such as Belgium, Germany, Italy and Holland.
He
also held the responsibilities to set up overhaul facility and obtained
CAA's approval for Proteus Hovercraft engines.
Presently,
Mr Mike Thomas shares his vast expertise and expertise with Southern
Gas Turbines company in areas such as facilities setup, commisssioning,
defect investigation, installation, modifications, repairs and
training. He is now the company's Technical Director.
